Stop killing Animals and Go Vegen

How we human differ from animals ?

Various organs are grouped together to form a body system which carries out a special job in human and animals .

System of the Body
Job or function
Musculo-skeletal
Support and move the body
Digestive
Digest and absorb feed
Circulatory
The brood carries substances around the body
Respiratory
Breathing
Urinary
Get rid of poisons and waste (urine)
Nervous
Pass messages around the body, control the body
Sensory
Sense and detect things outside the body
Reproductive
To produce and feed young
Lympho-reticular
Protect against infectious diseases, produce blood

Pain
Pain is an uncomfortable feeling that tells you something may be wrong. It can be steady, throbbing, stabbing, aching, pinching, or described in many other ways. Sometimes, it’s just a nuisance, like a mild headache
Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage

Hurt
To cause physical damage or pain to some one and , To cause mental or emotional suffering to someone

Disease
Disease occurs when something goes wrong with the body or part of the, body.
Diseases can be caused by germs, bad feed and food , chemicals or injuries , inflammations etc.

All these are the common things between human and animals so what makes us differ from animals

Society –
Some animals also have their own society like ants , honey bees , monkeys etc but it is upto some extents ..and ..
Human society is a society of civilized and cultural being but animal society is lacking culture and civilization.
The needs of the animals are mostly physical and are met by inherited mechanism. The needs of the human are met by cultural transmission.
Animal society is based on instincts where as human society is based on reason or rational behaviour. Food , sex , sleep and fear these are the 4 basic of animals as well as human the difference is we human have good mind to think and religion and emotions and spiritual to make our life to live in better and comfortable ways and animal live their life in same way as thousands of year ago they were living
There are no rights and duties in animal society but lives on its physical power. The human society has a wonderful system of law and order. That’s why the animals fight with each other for food sex sleep n fear
The language is absent among the animals. Though a few birds to animals made to speak cannot transmit that skill to its successors. Where as among human beings well developed language skills are developed and are able to transmit from one generation to the other. And now a days technology
1.   Animals may cover a lot of species whereas Humans belong to Homo Sapiens.
2. Most animals walk on all four legs on crawl whereas Humans are Bipeds.
3. Animals tend to be either herbivorous or carnivorous or omnivorous and stick to their diets whereas the Humans are omnivorous.
4. Animals are unable to communicate like Humans do.
5. Animals are endangered due to the Human influence on their environment.
6. Whereas Animals simply survive in their environment, Humans have developed technology, science to change their environment.
7. Human have religion which help to bind us in society and animals have no religion

the one of the biggest difference between we human  and animals is the ability to think forward and think for the good for others! and also bad for others. (for good and bad are two sides of the same coin.)

incarnation theory in Holy book Gita says that since life principle is same in all living forms, a soul can travel in various physical forms. human body is the epitome of life perfection. why? how? we see that we can not run faster,we can not fly from one place to another , smell better, bite harder, swim deeper, hear better than animals. nothing! left alone in the forest, we won't survive for long.

or would we? every human should have to think in that !!!! who are better human or animal ? as they don’t need anything to do those above said things and we need help of technology to compete the physical things as animals … but in all n most important thing…that …..

we have the brain. that can help us make things that make us to think and make us  powerful and this is the only reason we are differ from animals . even without fur, we can survive the winter, without sonar we can see in night, without claws we can kill wild beasts, without wings we can fly far distances... with great power comes great responsibility. this same brain allows us to think of future consequences of present or past actions. the development of complex language has allowed us to transmit knowledge across generations and times
all this would be clear by this shaloka

आहार-निद्रा-भय-मैथुनं समानमेतत्पशुभिर्नराणाम्
धर्मो हि तेषामधिको विशेषो धर्मेण हीनाः पशुभिः समानाः
It means
food, sleep, fear and mating, these acts of humans are similar to animals'
of them (humans), dharma (knowledge and right conduct) is the only special thing, without dharma humans are also animals

well now we know how we differ from animals even then we kill animals for one basic needs that’s food … and now a days we parents are teaching our kids to sleep with animals in the shape of toys and these days now some human also sleep with their pets.. as we eat animals and sleep with animals may be we human later could be involve in sex with animals ….

Some questions arises in my mind that’s

Why we eat animals ?

Why we pet the animals ?

Why some animals are pet some are dinner? Is it racism ? or racism is only up to those living beings who react on activities by the means of language by vocal or body

Why we love those animals to whom we pet and why we kill those animals who are no pet

When we have little cut or wound of one or few drops of blood we cry with pain and go to here n there to the doctor and ever the meat eater human think how uch pain the animals are having when they are being killed with no mercy ? think and must visit n see the life of animals in slaughter houses how they brutally killed and the same which we eat when having party and enjoying the life to satisfy our need called hunger and same we teach our kids and so on …and we only feel that human only feel pain animals don’t but as I told that human and animals are the same only up to some extents and what we human have difference with animals …

Do we know the meat which we are eating is how free from diseases ? whether that animal was infected with any kinda disease or inflammations or damaged or paralysed

Coz any meat has no taste that’s why chefs cook it in better ways with spices and other ingredients according to our taste

how much human’s vegetables or grains animals eat ?

The Disadvantages of Eating Meat

There are many physical disadvantages to eating meat. Some of these disadvantages which i feel are :

1. A meat-eater not only takes in the animal cells and fats, etc. but also the waste products, e.g. chemically treated food fed to the animals, drugs injected into the animal in the slaughter house, intoxicants, coloring and tenderizers sprayed on the dead animal by the market suppliers. By the way, hamburgers are made from Cow with the four D’s (Dead, Dying, Disabled, or Diseased) This is why so many children and young adults have died from eating hamburgers. It's also the reason why hamburgers have the highest recall of E-Coli.

2. It is also suspected that meat-eaters are prime candidates for degenerative diseases such as high blood pressure, arthritis, gout, etc. Meat is one of the major sources of internal pollution. When an animal is slaughtered, un-eliminated waste products remain in the tissue of the animal which often give the meat its stimulating flavor. Uric acid and adrenaline are secreted into the bloodstream, muscles of animals and stored. The fear and struggle to escape death stimulates the secretion of hormones like epinephrine and norepinephrine. Most animals (especially cows) are injected with steroids before they are slaughtered. No edible plant product has similar toxicity. The human body has to work 15 times more to get rid of these toxin.

3.A parasite known for inducing miscarriage, blindness, jaundice and nervous disorders in newborn babies was found in samples of animal meat from abattoirs and markets (particularly in third world countries). An article in the German Bunte magazine, entitled 'Karnka von Tiere' (Diseases from Animal) pointed out the diseases that arise from consumption of meat, apart from the reckless wastage of precious land and natural resources for livestock breeding.
One article on internet emphasized on the benefits of meatless diet and the current trend towards vegetarianism by an increasing number of Germans and other Europeans, especially amongst the younger generation. As a result of overall concern for health, meat consumption in the west is declining. According to the Vegetarian society in UK, 9% of the population in UK and US are complete vegetarians with the number constantly increasing.

4.To preserve fish and prawns and other crustaceans, boric acid is widely used by food manufacturers. It attacks the liver and the brain, causing fits and coma before the victim dies of liver damage. Fruits and vegetables, however heavily sprayed, don't grow hormones, antibiotics and other drugs common in meat products.

5.Pigs carry trichinosis bacteria that cling to the walls of the stomach and intestines, which can be fatal. Beef and pork are highly acid forming and release into the blood-stream toxic poisons and microbes. But the WBC in blood may not be sufficient to destroy these microbes and so the toxic reactions set in.

Although some historians and anthropologists say that man is historically omnivorous, our anatomical equipment teeth, jaws, and digestive system favors a fleshless diet. The American Dietetic Association notes that "most of mankind for most of human history has lived on vegetarian or near-vegetarian diets."
And much of the world still lives that way. Even on most industrialized countries, the love affair with meat is less than a hundred years old. It started with the refrigerator car and the twentieth-century consumer society. But even with the twentieth century, man's body hasn't adapted to eating meat. The prominent Swedish scientist Karl von Linne states, "Man's structure, external and internal, compared with that of the other animals, shows that fruit and succulent vegetables constitute his natural food." The chart below compares the anatomy of man with that of carnivorous and herbivorous animals.

When you look at the comparison between herbivores and humans, we compare much more closely to herbivores than meat eating animals. Humans are clearly not designed to digest and ingest meat.

Meat-eaters: have claws
Herbivores: no claws
Humans: no claws

Meat-eaters: have no skin pores and perspire through the tongue
Herbivores: perspire through skin pores
Humans: perspire through skin pores

Meat-eaters: have sharp front teeth for tearing, with no flat molar teeth for grinding
Herbivores: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding
Humans: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding

Meat-eaters: have intestinal tract that is only 3 times their body length so that rapidly decaying meat can pass through quickly
Herbivores: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.
Humans: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

Meat-eaters: have strong hydrochloric acid in stomach to digest meat
Herbivores: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater
Humans: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Meat-eaters: salivary glands in mouth not needed to pre-digest grains and fruits.
Herbivores: well-developed salivary glands which are necessary to pre-digest grains and fruits
Humans: well-developed salivary glands, which are necessary to pre-digest, grains and fruits

Meat-eaters: have acid saliva with no enzyme ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Herbivores: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Humans: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Based on a chart by A.D. Andrews, Fit Food for Men, (Chicago: American Hygiene Society, 1970)
Clearly if humans were meant to eat meat we wouldn't have so many crucial ingestive/digestive similarities with animals that are herbivores.

Many people ask me, "If we weren't supposed to eat meat than why do we?". It is because we are conditioned to eat meat. Also, the ADA (American Dietetic Association) tells us that "most of mankind for most of human history has lived on a vegetarian or Lacto-ovo vegetarian diet."

A popular statement that meat eaters say is; "In the wild, animals kill other animals for food. It's a part of nature." First of all, we are not in the wild. Secondly, we can easily live without eating meat and killing. We all would be healthier this way. Finally, as I have already shown, we weren't meant to eat meat. Meat putrefies within 4 hours after consumption and the remnants cling to the walls of the intestines for 14-21 days. If a person is suffering from constipation the rotting meat can stay in the intestines for months or years. Furthermore, the saliva in humans is more alkaline, whereas in the case of flesh-eating or preying animals, it is clearly acidic. The alkaline saliva does not act properly on meat.

The final point I would like to make on how we as humans were not meant to eat meat is this; all omnivorous and carnivorous animals eat their meat raw. When a lion kills an herbivore for food, it tears right into the stomach area to eat the organs that are filled with blood (nutrients). While eating the stomach, liver, intestine, etc., the lion laps the blood in the process of eating the dead animal's flesh. Even bears that are omnivores eat salmon raw. However, eating raw bloody meat disgust us as humans. This is why we must cook it and season it to buffer the taste of the flesh.

If a deer is burned in a forest fire a carnivorous animal will NOT eat its flesh. Even circus lions have to be feed raw meat so that they will not starve to death. If humans were truly meant to eat meat then we would eat all of our meat raw and bloody. The thought of eating such meat makes one’s stomach turn. This is my point on how we as humans are conditioned to believe that animal flesh is good for us and that we were meant to consume it for survival and health purposes. If we are true carnivores or omnivores we would eat animal flesh raw and bloody. Cooking our meat and seasoning it with salt, ketchup, mayo, mustard or tabasco sauce disguise the awful taste of flesh. This is the only way we as humans would eat meat because we refuse to eat it raw and bloody like real carnivores. But its not that much true human also eat small fishes as they are with whole

“You are what you eat”, is a slogan that I love to use to show the mental aspect of vegetarianism. When animals are slaughtered, fear and aggression enzymes are shot into their muscle tissue. They remain in the meat until the consumer ingests the flesh and adapts the same emotions. Fruits and vegetables do not have emotions; therefore, when they are picked they do not release any emotional cells prior to digestion. The enzymes within fruits and vegetables supply the body with sufficient nutrients that will always uphold a healthy state of mind

Most spiritual people believe in auras. Kirilian photography shows us that a force field still remains around dead or amputated flesh. You adopt that animal aura when you eat it's dead flesh. Fruits and vegetables have a higher vibration al aura than animal products.

Tigers or lions who eat meat have an acid-based digestive systems. Our Hydrochloric Acid isn’t strong enough to fully digest meat. Also, their intestines measures about five feet long, not twisted and turned, layer over layer, compacted into a small area like the human intestine [which is twenty feet long].
Meats are frozen for a long period of times. Some meats (especially poultry) are frozen up to two years. Cold temperatures do not kill all species of bacteria. Worse than this, as it is shipped and stored, most frozen meat is thawed and refrozen many times.

कर्म , संचित कर्म , क्रियमाण कर्म , प्रारब्ध कर्म

Karma theory - Law of Action and Reaction Newton 3rd Law
Our sages discovered this theory hundreds of centuries ago and they further divided this in further 3 parts and then the Sir  Newton from England told the world about this and then it was easily accepted and he told action and reaction in broad terms which is totally scientifically  and our sages proves its in both the ways scientifically and spiritually .

WHAT IS KARMA

The simple definition of Karma is that "each and every physical action or deed that you perform with the cooperation of the mind, right from morning to evening, during the whole day and night, during the whole week, whole month, whole year and during the whole of your life right from birth to death is called Karma".
For example, getting up, sitting down, taking bath, washing, walking, standing, going to job, doing business, crying, laughing, awakening, seeing, not-seeing, joking, inhaling, exhaling, thinking, not-thinking, speaking, not-speaking, eating, not-eating, drinking, not-drinking, smelling,not-smelling, touching, not-touching, grasping or throwing by hands, passing or not-passing stool and urine, indulging or not indulging in sex, etc. - all these physical actions performed by all your ten senses, organs and limbs, performed as influenced and propelled by the likes and dislikes, attachments and non-attachments and with the co-operation of your mind and intellect are called 'Karma'.

All these Karmas are divided into three categories according to their stages as under

(1) KRIYAMAN KARMA means an action done at the spur of a moment or time in the present tense which instantaneously bears fruit and results in reaction then and there.

(2) SANCHIT KARMA (Cumulative Karma)
means the actions done but not yet ripe to give fruits immediately or on the spot but take some time to get ripened. Such Karmas are kept in abeyance pending in the balance waiting for the opportune time to become ripe, to give fruits in future. Till then they remain in balance and are accumulated (SANCHIT). Until their fructification, these Sanchit Karmas would not be neutralised.

(3) PRARABDHA KARMA means those
actions, out of the accumulated Sanchit Karmas which have now become ripe and are ready to give fruits. They are commonly known as destiny, luck, fate, fortune etc.

KRIYAMAN KARMA

Generally, any action that you do at any time or moment in the present tense will give its fruit immediately and on the spot. It is called KRIYAMAN KARMA. Any action is bound to have reaction, any cause is bound to have its effect and any effort is bound to result into fixed destiny.
This is the immutable law of Karma.

For example: (1) You drink water and at once your thirst is quenched, you got the fruit of your action of drinking and finished with it. (2) You ate and immediately your hunger is satisfied, you got the result of your action of eating and your action is exhausted and neutralised and the account is cleared. (3) You took your bath and your body is cleansed. You got the result of your action at once, the cause resulted into effect and the account of action is squared, your action became quiet and subsided and dissolved. (4) You inflicted verbal abuses on some one and he being thus provoked immediately gave you slaps on your face. The account of give and take is cleared and closed on the spot. The law of action and reaction, cause arid effect operated and ceased. All actions become quiet only by reactions. Every cause becomes quiet and subsided immediately only after its effect has been experienced.

SANCHIT KARMA

However, there are certain Kriyaman Karmas which do not instantaneously ripen to give you fruits immediately. They, therefore, remain pending in deposit waiting for the
opportune time to ripen and bear fruits at the appropriate moment in future. Till then they are kept in abeyance and get accumulated. They are calied SANCHIT KARMA,
(accumulated Karmas). For example (i) you took laxative in the morning, but will get resultant motions after a few hours, (ii) you appeared in the examination to-day and will get your result after one month, (iii) you abused somebody to-day but he will wait for an opportune time to take revenge after three months, (iv) you harassed or tortured your parents in your young age causing a lot of anguish to them and your children will torture you in your old age,(v) you tried and laboured enthusiastically with great devotion to become a proficient musician or a famous painter but before acquiring perfection you left your body. Even then your labour of the present birth is not wasted. In your subsequent birth or births you will continue your efforts and
will definitely reach your goal of perfection and will get the fruits of your labour and devotion of your present birth.

Thus certain actions and efforts in the present (Kriyaman Karmas) do take time to ripen to enable them to yield fruits. Till then they are stored away, kept in abeyance and get accumulated in the balance as Sanchit Karmas. But anyhow, every action will have its reaction, every cause will have its effect and every effort will have its destiny
determined in due course of time without exception.

The millet seeds take Sa days to become ripe as millet corn, wheat seeds take 120 days to ripen and be ready for reaping as wheat corn, a mango tree starts bearing
fruits five years after sowing its seed, a jack fruit tree will start giving fruits after 10 years. Thus it takes time to germinate into ripe fruit, for the cause to be transformed
into effect. This time varies according to the nature of the seedlings and potentiality of that cause or action.

Taking example from Ramayan, Shri Das'ratha (father of Rama) in his young age killed one innocent Brahmin boy named S'ravana and hence his old blind parents cursed
Shri Das'rath that he shall also have to die due to the separation of his son. At the time of this curse Shri Das'rath was not married and hence that curse could not be effetive immediately. His action (Karma) was therefore kept in abeyance pending as Sanchit Karma waiting for the opportune time to come. Subsequently, in due course of time, when Shri Das'rath got married, also got Rama as his son and then precisely just on the auspicious coronation day of Rama, the unholy sinful past action of King Das'rath immediately cropped up and he had to die because of the curse compelling the separation of his son Rama. And curiously enough, even shri Rama (the
omnipotent God incarnate), in due respect to the immutable law of Karma, chose not to interfere by showing any favouritism to his own father in giving him extension for at least 14 years till he would return from the forest. Taking one more example from the epic Mahabharata, King Dhrutarashtra, when he lost all his 100 sons in the battle field, inquired of Lord Krishna as to why he met with such a disastrous loss even though he did not remember to have committed any such horrible sin during his present lifetime. Lord Krishna, out of respect and sympathy for him gracefully bestowed upon him divine vision so that he could visualise for himself the heinous act perpetrated by him in any of his previous births which was responsible for his current misery. Thus aided, Shri Dhrutarashtra discovered that fifty births back when he was a hunter of birds he once threw his burning net on a tree causing hundred small baby birds to be entrapped and burnt to ashes, while the remaining big birds flew away but they became blind due to the scorching heat of the burning net. The effect of this horrible sinful deed was that Shri Dhrutarashtra became and remained blind all throughout his present life and also lost his 100 sons. Shri Dhrutarashtra wondered and further inquired from Lord Krishna as to why that wanton and sinful act did not immediately rebound on him to punish him in the same birth or even during his immediately next birth, and why it remained dormant as Sanchit Karma for such a long period of fifty lifetimes. Lord Krishna smiled and replied that his past sinful deed had to wait for an opportune time up to 50 births during which time he could earn and accumulate enough pious deeds to merit him to be eligible to get a hundred sons in one lifetime so that his previous sinful Sanchit Karma could instantaneously confront him with the effects of his evil action. Thus, nobody can escape or avoid the punishment for his sinful actions even after 50 or five hundred births. Of course, the sinful deeds will remain latent and dormant as Sanchit Karmas waiting for the opportune time to confront the person. So long as the stock of his pious, meritorfous deeds is not fully exhausted, the sinful deeds will not be able to attack the person and will bide their time, but, in any event, will not allow the person to escape. His sins will catch up with him at the most opportune time, and will definitely attack him even after hundreds and thousands of births. Thus there is neither delay nor any chaos or confusion in the realm of God. God is full of both mercy and justice. There are innumerable such instances and episodes in our scriptures and also in our day-to-day life propounding this doctrine of Karma that "as you sow, so shall you reap" the fruits either immediately or in due course of time as and when they become ripe - either in the present life or in the subsequent birth or births to come.

Suppose you are owed 500 dollars by someone who cunningly refuses to repay. Hence you file a civil suit against him for recovery. The court issues a demand warrant in your favour and the bailiff goes to execute that warrant. But he cannot recover the money because the debtor is currently bankrupt. However, the demand warrant will not, therefore, be cancelled, but will only be kept pending till the recovery becomes possible. Subsequently, if the debtor acquires sufficient money through some business, service or by heritage, the demand warrant will immediately be enforced and executed for payment to you. Perhaps, before the recovery of the amount, if the debtor dies, he can safely escape the execution of the order of this worldly court but his sinful debt (action) will be deposited in his Sanchit Karmas. Thus he cannot escape the divine court of God, as in his subsequent birth or births, he shall have to repay the amount, whether in terms of dollars, or in terms of service by becoming a bullock in your house in your next birth as a farmer.

PRARABDHA KARMA (Destiny, fate, luck)

There are heaps and heaps of lofty mountainful of unripe Sanchit Karmas piled up amounting to billions and billions of millions i.e. innumerable Sanchit Karmas deposited in balance at the credit of each and every person, earned and accumulated by him during his past innumerable births since time immemorial. They do not become ripe to give fruits all at a time in one birth. Only a very few of them, say about 10,000 Sanchit Karmas out of this whole tremendous stock become ripe and ready to give fruits during one lifetime. They are called Prarabdha Karmas (readily destined to give fruits commonly known as fate, luck, fortune, destiny etc.). Strictly according to these Prarabdha Karmas a person gets a particular type of body, parents, wife, children, wealth, caste, creed, race, sex, environment, etc. just appropriate to enjoy, suffer and exhaust his Prarabdha Karmas destined during his present lifetime. He cannot leave his present body till he has fully enjoyed, suffered and exhausted all these Prarabdha Karmas during his present life even though he is totally bed-ridden or suffering due to paralysis and other diseases.and desperately craving for freedom from his crippled body. But as soon as his Prarabdha Karmas destined to be enjoyed during his present lifetime are fully exhausted, he immediately becomes free from this body and again gets a new body to enjoy other new Prarabdha Karmas, say about 20,000 which have become ripe by that time to give him fruits. Unfortunately, while exhausting his predestined Prarabdha Karmas during one lifetime, he creates and accumulates many more new Karmas during the same lifetime which are again deposited in the stock of his previous Sanchit Karmas and this situation is repeated in every birth. Thus the vicious cycle goes on uninterruptedly increasing, instead of decreasing, the total balance of Sanchit Karmas at the end of each birth. The stock of Sanchit Karmas is increasing by leaps and bounds as the new accumulation is much more than the expenditure during each birth and there is no end to this process. Therefore, the cycle of birth and death goes on indefinitely and there does not appear to be any hope of chance for liberation of emancipation.

Recognising this, Shri Shankaracharya has humbly requested God as under:

PUNARAPI JANANAM PUNARAPI MARANAM
PUNARAPI JANANI JATHARE SHAYANAM.
IHA SANSARE KHALU DUSTARE
KRUPAYA PARE PAHI MURARE.

Repeated births and repeated deaths And repeatedly sleeping in the womb of mother
This ocean of SANSARA is really difficult to cross OH GOD, kindly save me and help me to cross.

Fat / HDL / LDL / Good Fat / Bad Fat

Fat in food and its Kinds -

The major fats that are found in foods

Saturated fats
Trans fats
Mono-unsaturated fats
Poly-unsaturated fats.

Know about  -  Appearance-wise,
Saturated and trans fats tend to be more solid at room temperature (Like butter )
while Mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated fats tend to be liquid (like  soybean or corn oil) at room temperature.

So Bad Fat and Good Fat
  • “Bad” Fats (Saturated and Trans Fats)
  • Good” Fats (Unsaturated Fats - monounsaturated and polyunsaturated)

Bad Fat

Saturated:  Saturated fats occur naturally in many foods.  The majority come from animal sources, meat and dairy (milk fat) such as fatty beef, lamb, pork, poultry with skin, beef fat (tallow), lard and cream, butter, cheese, and other dairy products made from whole or reduced-fat (2%) milk and Yolk of egg All these foods contain cholesterol.

Many baked goods and fried foods can also contain high levels of saturated fats.

Some plant foods, such as palm oil, palm kernel oil, and coconut oil, also contain primarily saturated fats,  but do not contain cholesterol.

Trans:   About 20–25 percent come from animal fat and 75–80 percent come from partially hydrogenated fat – especially in commercial baked goods (pastries, biscuits, muffins, cakes, pie crusts, doughnuts and cookies) and fried foods (French fries, fried chicken, breaded chicken nuggets and breaded fish), snack foods (popcorn, crackers), and other foods made with partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.

GooD Fat

Uunsaturated fats (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) are also found in many foods.  Vegetable oils, nuts, and seafood are recommended sources of these fats.

Monounsaturated:
Monounsaturated fats are liquid at room temperature but begin to solidify at cold temperatures. This type of fat is preferable to other types of fat and can be found in Canola oil, olive oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil, avocados, and many nuts and seeds.

Polyunsaturated:
Polyunsaturated fats are also liquid at room temperature. A number of vegetable oils (soybean oil, corn oil and safflower oil), oily fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring and trout), and most nuts (Spl Walnuts) and seeds.

The polyunsaturated fats are either from the omega-3 (for example, seafood) or omega-6 (for example, most vegetable oils) family.

Effects of Fats on our Heart

The “bad” fats
Saturated fats and trans fats, raise LDL (low-density lipoproteins or “bad” cholesterol) levels in our blood and increase your risk of developing heart disease.
Some Trans fats lower HDL (high-density lipoproteins or “good” cholesterol) levels in our blood.
The “Good” fats, mono-unsaturated fats and poly-unsaturated fats, can help lower blood cholesterol levels when they replace saturated and trans fats in the diet and may lower our risk of developing heart disease when they are consumed in moderation.

Guru Purnima / गुरुपूर्णिमा

Guru Purnima

गुरुर ब्रह्मा गुरुर विष्णु , गुरुर देवो महेश्वरः ,
गुरुर साक्षात परम ब्रह्म , तस्मै श्री गुरुवे नमः

Gururbrahmaa gururvishnuh gururdevo Maheswarah |
Guruh-saakshaat parambrahma tasmai shrigurave namah ||

“Guru is creator Brahma; Guru is preserver Vishnu; Guru is also the destroyer Siva and he is the source of the Absolute. I offer all my salutations to the Guru”.

What is the meaning of Guru?

The Sanskrit root "Gu" means darkness or ignorance. "Ru" denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore one who removes darkness of our ignorance is a Guru. God, who is attributeless and formless, is the true Guru.

Bhagavadgita gives guidelines and qualities of a genuine Guru. A true Guru has credentials to impart true knowledge free from speculation and never claims he is god. He knows god is supreme and we are subordinate to him. He exemplifies wisdom, peacefulness, self-control, austerity, piety , tolerance and strong faith in god. He must be from a succession (eg.Brahma, Narada, Vyasa, Shankaracharya).

Guru Purnima is one of the ancient festivals of India. This festival is celebrated by Hindus and Buddhists.
According to Hindu calender, this festival is celebrated on the full moon day of Ashadh month ( July /August ) and it is the day sacred to the memory of the great sage Vyasa. All Hindus are indebted to this ancient saint who edited the four Vedas, wrote the 18 Puranas, the Mahabharata and the Srimad Bhagavata. Vyasa even taught Dattatreya, who is regarded as the Guru of Gurus.

While Buddhists celebrate this day, honouring Lord Buddha. On this special day, Lord Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh.

The day also finds a great significance for farmers. The period 'Chaturmas' ("four months") begins from this day. The rain water brings fresh life everywhere.

On this auspicious day, we can honour our guru as well by sending gifts and sweets

Generally on this day devotees offer their prayers to their spiritual gurus. The person who have no guru they must pray to lord Dattatreya who is no one else but the combination of Bhrama Vishnu Mahesh.

Significance of Guru Poornima in Astrology:

Guru is also known as Jupiter in Astrology. Guru affects the knowledge, blessings and guidance of the master, thirst for wisdom, education prospects and marriage prospects in a native's birth Chart. Guru governs the 9th and 12th house in the horoscope of the kaal purush. Guru is the significator of 2nd , 5th , 9th , and 11th Houses

A weak Jupiter is a cause of many problems - Education, Wisdom and Marriage to be the foremost. The harmful Guru Chandaal Dosha and Pitra Dosha are also caused because of the malefic effect on Jupiter.

A major cause for marriage delays is weak Jupiter or afflicted jupiter. Guru Purnima is one of the few most auspicious days in ayear when the poojan and remedies to make jupiter strong and to get rid of the doshas may be performed.
