There are 24 hours in a day and that hour is derived from sanskrit word hora (अहोरा) so the whole day is divided into two parts from sunrise to sun set and sunset to sunrise and total 24 horas in a day and the duration of each hora is of one hour and which is ruled by a particular planet.This hora is one of the most important part of mahurat which we all never consider in choosing and doing any auspicious work . In other words as each day is ruled by a certain planet like that each hora of the day is also ruled by a certain planet .
How to calculate Hora
The first hora of the is ruled by its Day Lord and next the lord of the 6th day and next the 6th from that lord in the sequence. Like on sunday first hora is ruled by Sun and 2nd hora is ruled by the Venus (6th from Sun) and 3rd hora is ruled by Mercury (6th from Venus) and so on .
If a particular work has to be done on the particular day and one can't wait till that day so that work can be started in the hora of that the favorable day lord. Example if anyone wants to meet to his or her love or want to go on first date then Friday is needed coz Friday id ruled by Venus and that meeting is to be done on Sunday then that task should be done on Sunday in Venus Hora that is 2nd , 9th , 16th , and 23rd Hora
