Independent Woman = Cat Nature

Social Behavior

Naturally social animal .

Pack animals – love to be with humans or other dogs.

Seek  companionship.

As pet they get anxious when left alone for long periods

Independent – Love to enjoy being alone.

Usually bond closely with 1-2

They like their own space & can entertain themselves

 

Loyal & protective

Extremely loyal.

Once bonded, they’re incredibly faithful to their humans.

Naturally protective  sply their home & family

Loyal in their own way, but more selective. May show affection on their terms.

Emotionally Behavior

 

Very much tuned with owners – mood / voice – like happy , sad , stressed

Dog likely knows & respond well to affection , praise

Can sense mood but may not react as obviously

Affection

Openly affectionate – love cuddles , belly rubs, and playtime with humans.

Reserved affectionate . Will cuddle when they feel like it or in the mood

Trainability

Eager to please & can learn commands and routines quickly, especially with consistency and rewards , Praise

Love to please.

Prefer self-guided exploration, harder to train & less motivated by praise.

Need patience and consistency.

Strong memory – remember people  Routines

Good spatial memory – remember hiding spots & path

Communication

Bark, whine, wag tail, use body language to communicate. Very expressive.

Meow, purr, hiss. More subtle body language – tail flicks, ear movement, etc.

Playfulness

Playful throughout life – enjoy and love to Play games and interaction.

Playful too,  but in their own terms also get bored quickly.

Energy Level

Mostly higher energy ( depends on breeds - Need regular exercise )

Lower energy. Short bursts of activity (like zoomies), but nap a lot.

Protector of home & family

Bark or act alert when they sense someone unfamiliar around their home

Inspect every things or new item that enters their space.

Pretty territorial in their own way

They often rub their  smell on things to mark what’s “theirs.”

 

Hygiene

Need regular bathing and grooming (depending on breed).

Self-cleaning. Groom themselves daily.

Dependency

Rely more on humans for social and emotional needs.

More self-sufficient – can entertain themselves more easily.

Don’t follow commands like dogs do , but unless it’s on their terms

More developed prefrontal cortex (planning, bonding)

Smaller prefrontal cortex—more Limbic - instinct-driven

Oxytocin ( love hormone )

High oxytocin release when interacting with humans

Less Releases of oxytocin

 

 Dogs are loyal , outgoing , social. They love being part of a group and often look to their humans for direction and emotional support

Cats are independent , curious , territorial , less socially oriented . They enjoy affection but on their own terms , and they like having control over their space
